Recreating my Gorilla, going for sort of the same thing as the frog. I call it "semi-realistic" where it's not cartoon, but it's not quite photoreal either.

Bruno Cardego, a redesign of an old character of mine. A gangster of the 50's, he's modelled after Al Pacino and Christopher Walken.

Yeah I know it took forever to get any updates on this guy, but he sort of fell behind the bookcase, as it were. I gave him some real hair (well, not REAL hair, but strand hair. You understand.) and I added the SSS to his skin, although I'll have to recreate his skin map. Also gave him brown eyes.

Since my video "Frog at the Pub" has received so many views on Youtube (153,476 as of 03/12/08, and that was only a test render), I thought I'd revamp the little guy, and see if I couldn't make him look like a real frog. This will be one of my first attempts at a Photo-Realistic character, so we'll see how it goes.

Here's a test render of him talking and moving (03/24/08).

Here's a test render of him breathing (03/20/08).

Well, got the character pretty well done, now I'm creating an environment to put him in.

A caricature of my teenage self, I call him "Dave." Pretty much finished up and ready to animate (02/18/08).

For the "Heinz: Top This" TV commercial contest, here's what I'm working on. A ketchup bottle vs a mustard bottle in a kung-fu showdown.

Rupert the Elephant, this character is from a story idea I had about a year ago entailing the misadventures of a gorilla who didn't like bananas, so he kept switching them with the elephant's apples. A kung-fu fight was to ensue. This is also a redesign of a model from 3DS Max, now using Blender.

Here's a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air, I'm creating it for a contest for the Animwatch Forums. This car is going to have the cartoon/stylized feel of Pixar's "Cars", where he's talking about how long he's been sitting there, and how hot it is.

After watching the movie again, I decided to change up and design it in the same fashion.

The grunginess is there because the car has been "standing here for fifty years.." You'll see what I mean when I finish this project.

Check out a test video clip HERE.
