Hammer Screwdriver

Trying to start my 77 corvette, i cannot use the key, because someone tried to stick a screwdriver in my?

Power, now my work was often key .... What can I do to start my car which could have a screwdriver leg?

I would replace the ignition switch. not too hard to do unless you tilt it, then I would take it to a service provider of cars and to do so. requires a few specialty tools. Hope this helps
